I play the Electric & Bass Guitar, is there a program that I can use on Windows or Mac that alters the sound?

I want to be able to play my electric guitar on my computer and output a sound like orchestra violins or the sound of an organ. I would use a keyboard but it comes natural with the guitar.

Is there a program with VST’s or something like that?

i don’t know if this is what you want to know, but yeah just google VST plugings. Try using some with Audacity. They seem to work well with it plus you can record your music on that program. It also comes with effects on it, plus it is all free.
