What is an external speaker jack on a Guitar amplifier.?
I have a Peavey Delta Blues 210 guitar combo amp. The amp say that it has an external speaker jack. What is it used for? Can i plug in another set of speakers such as http://Guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Crate-V-Series-V212B-2×12-Guitar-Extension-Cabinet?sku=487053 . Would that make the amp sound louder?
it may allow for that extention. depending on the jack you may be able to use it for headphones, or to patch into a sound system. what ever gets hooked up will probobly be in place of the amp, and will make the amp not produce sound out of its internal speaker whilst it is pluged in through that jack, but some amps will not do that and will use both the internal and the external one you hooked up

1960B 4×12 Straight Guitar Speaker Cabinet $900 The Marshall Stack If one thing personifies the image of rock 'n' roll more than anything else it's the Marshall 4×12. Though often imitated, nothing compares with the original. The first 4×12 cab was designed and built by Jim Marshall in 1962. Since then Marshall has made many thousands, which have appeared on stages both large and small all over the world. After the initial success of the Marshall 4×12, it wasn't too long before they designed and built the first stack, where an angled cabinet sits on top of a straight fronted cab, with the amplifier placed on top. This came about after discussions with Pete Townshend of The Who. Pete and Jim Marshall sat down and discussed The Who's requirements for an 8×12 cab with an angled top. This was designed and built, but due to this awesome cab being somewhat cumbersome, only six were ever made. As a result, Marshall came up with the more practical idea of stacking an angled cab on top of a straight fronted model. Thus the famous Marshall stack was born. What happened to the six 8×12 cabs do we hear you ask? Well, two went to Pete Townshend, two went to John Entwhistle and the remaining two went to the Small Faces. The Marshall stack on the other hand has stayed in production ever since and has gone on to become the most recognisable rock 'n' roll icon. As they invented the stack, Marshall 4×12's are the only true originals. Everything else is merely an imitation. Stereo and Speaker OptionsTo ensure the ultimate in flexibility, four of Marshall's standard 4×12's are switchable from mono [4 or 16 Ohms] to stereo [8 Ohms per side]. These are the 1960A/B and 1960AV/BV. Heavy duty castors are fitted as standard to all Marshall full size 4×12's to ensure that these cabinets are ready to roll without rocking. No sharp metal edges or rough fittings – the smooth ABS plastic Marshall corner fits perfectly and offers excellent protection to all eight cabinet corners. Marshall&a |

Bass Instrument Amplification $62.04 Used – Bass instrument amplification for the bass guitar, double bass and similar instruments is distinct from other types of amplification systems due to the particular challenges associated with low-frequency sound reproduction.
